It’s Been A Summer Of Fun At Harrison Holidays

Posted on

If you visited Harrison Holidays’ parks this summer, you may have noticed our Summer of Fun events running throughout August. From wrestling at Riverside Holiday Park to practising your putting at the crazy golf at Percy Wood Holiday Park, there’s been an array of different activities to keep guests and their families entertained during the summer holidays.

With kids returning to school and the nights slowly getting dark earlier, September heralds the end of the season, so we wanted to have a look back at what a Summer of Fun we all had at the Harrison Holidays parks all across the north of England.

Percy Wood Holiday Park, Northumberland

Percy Wood Golf and Country Park has always been a popular choice for golfers who don’t want to travel far from their holiday homes to the nearest links, but this summer we introduced more putting pleasure for our residents with a fantastic 9-hole crazy golf course.

We had so many families here at Percy Wood holiday park taking part in the competition on 27 August, and you can see photos from the day here on our Facebook page. We hope it didn’t cause too much friction between competing family members!

Of course, there’s much more to Percy Wood than just golf, and we have had a summer packed with live music, as well as a silent disco. The kids loved the bouncy castle and inflatable slides, as well as the penalty shoot-out contest!

Whether you’re looking for caravan parks near Morpeth or Percy Wood lodges to rent for the next time you want to enjoy a weekend in Northumberland with the family, or your next golfing weekend away, check out our park website to find the latest deals, offers, and availability.

Why not take a look at our blog about the top ten places to visit in Northumberland for the next time you visit Percy Wood Holiday Park?

Wild Rose Holiday Park, Cumbria

It wasn’t just Percy Wood with glorious golfing, as Harrison Holidays’ Wild Rose park in Cumbria also had a crazy golf day for families this summer, as well as Nerf Wars, where teams ran around in a grand Battle Royale, trying to eliminate each other with foam bullet firing guns – just like a real-life game of Fortnite!

Wild Rose caravan park had plenty to keep the kids happy this summer, with the Reptile Life animal show coming to visit twice, with commenters on the Wild Rose Facebook page saying was ‘highly recommended’. If your kids love nature and art, then they would have loved the Arts and Crafts – Nature Collage event, check out some of the photos on our Facebook page!

As always, Wild Rose Country Park had live music all through the summer, and pool parties in our indoor and outdoor pools.

If you’re looking for caravan hire in Cumbria for your next family getaway or a romantic break with your partner, then visit our holiday booking page today for more information and all the latest deals and offers.

Riverside Holiday Park, Southport

Reptile Life’s animal show came to Riverside Park Southport, where both children and adults got to explore the animal kingdom, as well as the opportunity to get their photos taken while holding various fascinating creatures, as seen on our Riverside Facebook page.

You can also find photos from a visit from Basix Wrestling, which entertained the crowds enthralled by the WWF-style wrestling matches in the afternoon and live music outdoors in the evening.

There was live music all summer long at Harrison Holiday’s Riverside Park, laser tag fun for the entire family, and a Bubble Zorb Football contest, where players were encased in a giant inflatable bubble!

Whether you’re looking for holiday homes at Riverside caravan park for sale, or glamping hives or lodges to hire for your next family holiday, visit our website to discover how to own a holiday home or make a booking for your next stay.

White Rose Holiday Park, Thirsk

Residents and guests at White Rose park were thrilled to take part in our outdoor cinema events, with commenters on our White Rose Facebook page saying it was a ‘fantastic day’, with viewings of family favourites such as Spider-Man: No Way Home and The Greatest Showman, while delicious street food was served up by the amazing Chef Matei Baran and his team.

We had a visit from Owl Adventures for an animal show of the feathered kind, as well as many members of the reptile family. Did you meet any of the amazing animals that came to White Rose Caravan Park? Why not post your photos on White Rose Holiday Park Facebook page?

Abbey Farm Holiday Park, Ormskirk

Everyone loves a good fancy dress party, and everyone loves a good sing-a-long, so we hosted a fantastic Summer karaoke party at Abbey Farm Park Ormskirk. Guests were invited to bring their own picnics or enjoy the hot dogs and snacks on offer, dress up with a 70s or 80s theme, and enjoy an afternoon of music and karaoke for all ages!

The event also hosted a charity cake sake which managed to raise an incredible £340 for Breast Cancer Awareness, so well done everyone!

If you’re looking for holiday cottages, accommodation with hot tubs or lodges for sale, then why not take a look at our Abbey Farm Ormskirk park website for all the latest information?

Brooklyn Caravan Park, Southport

There was less in the way of fancy dress at Brooklyn caravan park in Southport, and more dressing fancy, as guests made their way to our Summer Ball and Casino night. It was dickie bows and cocktail dresses for the glamorous evening, and dancing into the small hours, as seen on the photos on our Brooklyn Park Facebook page.
