The night sky above Victoria Park will burst into a symphony of light and sound on 26–27 September 2026. Known across the UK as the British Musical Fireworks Championship, or simply the Southport Musical Fireworks, this pyromusical showdown brings together the nation’s top pyrotechnic artists to battle for the coveted championship title.

Whether you are visiting for an autumn weekend getaway with the family or planning a memorable couples retreat, finding the right place to stay nearby makes all the difference. Located just a short drive from Victoria Park, Harrison Holidays’ Riverside Holiday Park provides the perfect base for your fireworks weekend.

What Makes the Southport Musical Fireworks So Special?

The British Musical Fireworks Championship 2026 is not your standard bonfire night display. It is a world-class pyromusical competition where every rocket, burst, and cascade is choreographed to the beat of an electrifying soundtrack.

• Elite Pyrotechnic Showdowns: Over the course of two evenings, leading UK display companies present custom-designed shows evaluated by an expert judging panel.

• Flawless Musical Choreography: Explosions of colour, ground effects, and high-altitude fireworks are timed to split-second accuracy alongside dramatic music.

• Vibrant Festival Atmosphere: Victoria Park comes alive each evening with local street food traders, live music, and family entertainment before the main displays begin.
