
Cragside
Cragside is a Victorian country house surrounded by an extensive rock garden and 1,700 acres of grounds composed of coniferous trees, miles of beautiful walks & lakes and is also home to some of the last remaining red squirrel colonies in England. Set near the village of Rothbury, Cragside House also boasts being the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power, an engineering masterpiece still in place today.
