King’s Coronation Celebrations at Harrison Holidays

At Harrison Holidays we are getting ready to give the royal treatment to a programme of entertainment to mark the King’s Coronation. We’ll be getting into the spirit of pageantry and parades with a whole host of activities taking place at some of our parks so that our holiday makers and holiday home owners can celebrate in style.
There are events across the extended Bank Holiday weekend, but the jewel in the crown are the plans for Saturday 6 May, which we are delighted to share with you here.

Wild Rose Holiday Park in Cumbria

The bunting will be out at Wild Rose Holiday Park for a day that will combine tradition and entertainment. Saturday 6 May will begin with delicious English breakfast muffins being available between 10am and 11:30am. Keeping things quintessentially English, and as the perfect accompaniment to a screening of the Coronation procession and service, Cream Teas and Afternoon Teas (pre-bookable) will be served between 12noon and 5pm.
Then it’s time for the famous Wild Rose BBQ to commence with some Coronation specials highlighting the menu. Guests will also be able to enjoy a performance by Appleby Brass Band continuing the sense of tradition. Our fabulous resident family entertainer will be on hand to keep our younger guests amused to ensure that everyone has a relaxing afternoon.
There will be prizes for the best dressed King and Queen and we cannot wait to judge entries into our Make your Caravan your Castle competition. Who will be jubilant? Who will be crowned our winner? All will be revealed on the big day.
Then we’ll dance the night away to the music of The Thieving Magpies, one of Cumbria’s most popular local bands, from 7pm.

Riverside Holiday Park in Southport

At Riverside Holiday Park the red carpet will be rolled out for our holiday makers and holiday home owners in the Coast and Country Bar & Restaurant, where the Coronation celebrations will be screened live and a toast will be raised to the King.
This will be followed be an afternoon of entertainment that will keep the whole family in the party mood. From 1pm to 5pm the inflatable fun zone will be on the field, which is hugely popular with all our younger guests.
In the evening we’ll be enjoying live music from Mick Dee, tunes from DJ Steve, plus lots of fun and games all taking place in the Bar and Restaurant.

White Rose Holiday Park in Cumbria

At the centrepiece of the Coronation celebrations at White Rose will be a sumptuous buffet that can be enjoyed from 12pm whilst the events of the historic day unfold on a live screening. It will be a joyful atmosphere in which to toast the new King and the future. Then bringing a sparkle of magic to the proceedings we’ll be joined by a magician from 1pm who ‘just like that’ will keep the kids amused!

Abbey Farm Holiday Park in Ormskirk

At Abbey Farm we’ll be screening the Coronation live so that everyone can get together to enjoy the historic day and, to reflect the sense of occasion, we’re encouraging everyone to dress up in red, white and blue. To add to the celebratory atmosphere we’ll also have music, karaoke and an ice cream van. And it won’t be the King’s castle, but there will be a bouncy castle to keep the children entertained!

Brooklyn Holiday Park in Southport

At Brooklyn Holiday Park the Owners’ Reception will be Coronation HQ, with a screening of the live broadcast of the parade and ceremony for the King’s Coronation. We’ll follow this with an afternoon of fun and festivities, including music, party bags for children and the chance to win some prizes in our raffle. We’ll also be serving a buffet fit for a King and drinks for all to enjoy.

Rawcliffe Hall Holiday Park in Blackpool
