Only 6 miles from Wild Rose Caravan Park, Appleby Golf Club can only be described as an ‘Inland Links’ course, The Open Champion, Willie Fernie used the contours of the land and the heather and bracken features to create this course to great effect. Sitting on a bedrock of Sandstone, Appleby is free draining so is playable all year round, which is a rare thing in Cumbria! The greens are renowned for offering the best throughout the year.
It is so great to walk our dogs through the woods an on the nature trails leading from the park. All the staff are very friendly and work hard to keep improving the park
