Halloween At Harrison Holidays

Posted on

Summer might feel like a distant memory with the nights drawing in and the temperature dropping, but October can mean only one thing, it’s spooky season! We can’t think of anywhere else we’d like to spend it than sharing the Autumn nights with our loved ones in a cozy holiday home telling ghost stories. And if that’s not enough, we’re gearing up for a Halloween of hauntingly good fun at Harrison Holidays this year, with spine-tingling events for all the family.

With half term approaching, we’re sure the kids are ready for a break after the return to school last month, and there’s face painting, pumpkin decorating, fancy dress, and party games at many of our UK holiday parks. We’ve not forgotten that the grown-ups love Halloween too, and there are Adults Halloween Parties planned as well.

We’re also pleased to announce that there will be the return of Bonfires and Firework Displays at selected parks in November, so get wrapped up and grab your treacle toffee and sparklers!

Let’s have a closer look at our frightfully fantastic Halloween events for 2022.

Riverside Holiday Park, Southport

There’s so much spooky good fun happening at Halloween for holidaymakers and owners at our Southport caravan parks, and we can’t wait to see everyone in their fancy dress.

Please note that there is limited availability of tickets for each of the events at Riverside Park, so in each case, visit the reception or call 01704 228886 to buy and collect tickets and for more information. We’re sure you don’t want to miss out on all the frightening fun!

Riverside Owners Evening Party

On Friday 28 October, there is an exclusive Halloween event for holiday home owners at the Riverside Bar & Restaurant, starting at 5 pm with a Murder Mystery! Help us solve the grisly crime, and then be rewarded with an evening of Halloween-themed party games, bingo, and fancy dress competitions for the children and adults.

There will be a crowning ceremony for the pumpkin-decorating king or queen, so don’t forget to bring along your carved and decorated pumpkins to be judged. The evening will be rounded off with live music from the amazing Angels!

Please note that this event is for owners only. Tickets are £3 per person, for which you will also receive a free hot dog, and children will get a goody bag.

Riverside Owners Kids Event

Especially for the kids, we are hosting an exclusive Halloween Crafts event on Friday 28 October from noon to 3 pm at the Riverside Bar & Restaurant. There will be face painting, dance and play games, biscuit decorating, spooky crafts, and pumpkin decorating – so don’t forget to bring a pumpkin!

Please note that this is for owners only, and tickets are £3 per child, but adults will not need a ticket.

Riverside Holiday Makers Halloween Events

We haven’t forgotten our amazing holiday makers at our Southport caravan sites, and we have two fabulous events lined up for you too!

For the children, there’s a Halloween Crafts event at the Bar & Restaurant from noon until 3 pm on Saturday 28 October, with face painting, Halloween crafts, dance and party games, and pumpkin and biscuit decorating – please bring your own pumpkins!

Please note that this event is for holiday makers only, and tickets are limited! Tickets cost £3 per child, and adults will not require a ticket, and guests will be contacted before arrival with information about purchasing tickets.

The fun doesn’t stop there, as there is a Halloween Evening Party to follow the afternoon event, starting at 5 pm on Saturday 29 October in the Riverside Bar & Restaurant, where guests are invited to solve a terrible crime in our Murder Mystery!

There’ll also be party games, bingo, fancy dress competitions for the adults and children, and the king or queen of the pumpkin decorating contest will be crowned! So bring along your most elaborately carved and decorated pumpkins to take part. The evening will be rounded off with live music, dancing, and fun for everyone.
